MELINDA SIENNA MADGWICK
Mel lives with her family in Melbourne Australia. As a teenager from Sydney, Mel had one dream to be a creative writer, director and photographer for American Vogue. When she found out there was only one person made of this role - Grace Coddington. She took a study break and went on a world round trip for a few years through over 33 different countries, and lived and worked in Chelsea, London, Paris and Italy she was captivated by the devotional art of the renaissance period and rich religious and spiritual cultural history. This is where she had a defining ‘soul moment’ one of many spiritual awakenings, where her spiritual gifts continued to open up and Mother Mary would begin to channel ancient sacred texts through her- at that time it felt surreal and she kept them private in her travel journal. When she arrived back she met her ‘one love’ - now 20 years of marriage - and while she had a family, studied a Bachelors and Masters in Journalism and Communications at Melbournes, Monash University and worked at places like Pacific Magazines; for Women’s weekly, shadowing the photographer in the dark room and photo shoots and Girlfriend Magazine in the writing and editorial department. She also worked within large corporate organisations within media, advertising and public relations. Her impressive grades in Journalism earnt her a place in the Monash Law Juris Doctor Program, and it was here she developed her interest in human rights and social justice. Her heart was not in being a lawyer though, most of the content felt dry and the hours were too long for her to blend a law career with family - she always knew her natural abilities in creativity and writing was a soul calling and it was her intention to combine this with her passion for women’s rights and empowerment. She left law and continued her studies in a Masters in Counselling at Monash University. She worked with women in the areas of intergenerational and sexual trauma, abusive relationships, women’s cultural oppression, suppression and cultural historical Trauma. She furthered this at New York, Embody Lab in further study in Integrated Somatic, Trauma and Justice. And Embodied Activism Certification. Which featured a strong component in women’s rights, racial empowerment and the movement to overcome suppression within minority classes. She now combines her utmost passions, in women’s human rights, spirituality, cultural European travel and photography as a devotional, spiritual author, researcher and creative channel. Along with her main master spirit guide Mother Mary Inspiring women to connect back into their divine feminine creative spiritual heart and soul.
